Selling your home?

How to make an impression

· Life Lessons,Advice

No matter what kind of home you have, whether it's traditional, manufactured, condo,or a even mansion, deciding to sell your home is a huge undertaking. Your home is filled with special memories of family and other events so it's hard to say goodbye, start over somewhere else and readjust to the ever changing pace of life. A few months ago my husband and I decided it was time for a change and talked about leaving Oregon but where would we go? After a few days of research and discussion we choose a destination which started the ball rolling. The first major hurtle we had to overcome was to sell our home. I'm the kind of person who make plans in advance, so I began packing up things we didn't use, like nick knacks, collectibles, and other miscellaneous items and stored the boxes in the garage. We listed our house in late February with a local Re-max agent and within two weeks we had an acceptable offer and and set a closing date. How did we sell our house so fast?

Here's some tips that worked for us and helped our home sell quicker.

1, Keep your home clean. Buyers love a clean home. It makes them feel welcome, enables them to

envision their belongings in the home, and they're more likely to buy a home that appears move in ready.

2. Clear out the clutter. clean out cupboards, closets and drawers especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. Pack up nick knacks, personal photos, toys, unused items, collectibles, etc. Organize your belongings,   being organization makes your home appear loved and well cared for.

3. Lock up all valuables and personal documents in a safety deposit box or safe your safe.

4. Stage your house consider rearranging the furniture to make it more appealing, use decorative pillows to add a pop of color, a house plant, or books to add interest along with a few picture on the walls. Wow the buyers so they'll want your house.

5. Do your research before you put your house on the market check into different realtors and their companies see if there are any complaints, unethical behavior, etc in the company you wish to work with. Also talk to friends and relatives who may have sold a home and ask who they would recommend.

6. Meeting your realtor. Schedule a time when your realtor can meet with you at your home. So she or he can view the home, talk about its features, selling points, make recommendations and discuss a list price. One of the most important things you can do is choose a realtor who is well educated, knowledgeable has a good sales record, hard worker, honest and personable. And we found all that in our Re-max realtor {Debbie Davilla } She is by far the best realtor we've ever work with and we highly recommend her. She's awesome!

7. The power of prayer. We should never underestimate the power of prayer especially when its joined with many voices and a lot of faith. We knew in our heart that God was leading us to make this move and we did our part by stepping out in faith and getting an apartment in our new location before we had an offer on the house. By choosing a good realtor, putting our faith into action and the power of prayer, God brought the right people to buy our house.
